# 5. Using Dental Cards

## In this lesson, we'll explore how to utilize the patient card in Diagnocat, manage 2D and 3D studies, and navigate essential features to streamline your workflow.

1. **Patient Card Overview**

The patient card serves as the central hub for managing patient data and uploading studies. At the top, you'll find patient details such as name and date of birth. To edit this information, click the 'Edit' button, make the necessary changes, and then click 'Save'. If you need to remove a patient card, use the 'Delete' button. Additionally, the plus sign (+) below the patient details allows you to add team members for collaborative case management.

**Uploading a CBCT Study for a New Patient**

     1. **Create a Patient Card**: Begin by creating a new patient card. For guidance, refer to our earlier lesson on patient profile creation.
     2. **Initiate CBCT Upload**: Open the patient card and click the 'CBCT Upload' icon.
     3. **Select Upload Method**:
            - **Drag and Drop**: Drag the entire CBCT study folder into Diagnocat.
            - **Manual Selection**: Manually select the folder's path for upload.
     4. Diagnocat also supports uploading archived CBCT files, automatically extracting necessary data to generate a radiologic report.
     5. **Complete Upload**: After selecting the files, click the 'Order' button. Upload time varies based on internet speed. A green progress bar will confirm a successful upload.
     6. **Report Generation**: Post-upload, Diagnocat automatically generates a radiologic report, typically within 4 to 6 minutes.

   **Uploading 2D Studies**

   To upload 2D studies:

     1. **Open Patient Card**: Access the relevant patient card.
     2. **Select Study Type**: In the 'Order a Report' section, choose either 'Panoramic' or 'Intraoral' to upload the appropriate files.

Diagnocat ensures a seamless process for handling both 2D and 3D studies.

   **Exporting Images**

To save original images from Diagnocat to your computer:

     1. **Access Options**: Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the patient card.
     2. **Select 'Information'**: Choose 'Information' from the dropdown menu.
     3. **Download Images**: Click the 'Download' button. The images will be downloaded to your computer in an archive format.

Diagnocat's intuitive interface simplifies the management of patient studies, allowing you to focus more on patient care.
